We are seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our products that support utility and energy customers worldwide. In this agile and innovative environment, you will lead critical quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate authentically across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams. This role is ideal for a quality professional who is customer‑centric, accountable, and energized by data-driven problem solving, cross-functional partnership, and improving processes that accelerate our mission to modernize how the world manages energy and water.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and refine quality assurance protocols for inspecting and testing raw materials, in‑process components, and finished goods, ensuring product reliability for global utility and energy customers.

  • Review engineering-level data from design testing, manufacturing validation, reliability studies, and field performance to make accountable, customer‑centric quality decisions.

  • Lead root cause and corrective action processes using 8D methodology, driving authentic problem-solving and long-term corrective actions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen process capability, reduce waste, and enhance production throughput in an agile, innovative manufacturing environment.

  • Apply statistical process control methods to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., ISO, GMP), supporting consistent and dependable product delivery.

  • Create and maintain Control Plans, test protocols, and quality documentation with high accuracy and accountability.

  • Analyze inspection and test data to identify trends, propose corrective actions, and support capability studies that improve product performance for utility customers.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, R&D, and Marketing teams on quality-related initiatives, fostering transparent and collaborative communication.

  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring quality systems and documentation remain compliant, traceable, and audit-ready.

  • Provide authentic and constructive technical guidance to Quality Technicians and Auditors to build a culture of shared learning.

  • Manage quality systems and data through centralized databases; develop innovative analytical tools to track and visualize key quality metrics.

  • Ensure inspection and test documentation is organized, complete, and maintained according to regulatory and company standards.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of quality engineering or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably supporting technology solutions for the Utilities & Energy sector.

  • Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and their application in an accountable, customer-focused quality system.

  • Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies; Green Belt certification preferred.

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to drive innovative, agile problem-solving.

  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar analytical platforms is a plus.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining authenticity and attention to detail.



Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in automotive or advanced manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment while maintaining high standards of accountability and accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and represent customer needs in quality decisions.



Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle components.

  • Frequently required to reach, stoop, kneel, climb, or lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments may include fumes, airborne particles, electrical equipment, outdoor weather conditions, vibration, or high noise levels.

  • May involve working near moving mechanical equipment or with toxic/caustic chemicals.
