Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A, this role is responsible for co‑leading Itron’s consolidated forecasting cycles and internal financial reporting. The position partners closely with Finance leadership to develop, refine, and operationalize financial forecasts that support the company’s strategic and operational objectives. This role is highly visible, engages with cross‑functional teams, and contributes to enterprise‑level initiatives aimed at improving forecasting, reporting, and business performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting packages for senior management and the Board of Directors, delivering clear, data‑driven variance analysis, insights, and performance commentary.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to help leaders make customer‑centric and strategic decisions across all areas of financial planning.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Drive preparation of consolidated annual and quarterly forecasts aligned to Itron’s strategic, operational, and customer commitments.
  • Lead continuous improvements that enhance forecasting accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
  • Develop and clearly communicate timelines, templates, and requirements for monthly outlook cycles, ensuring cross‑functional accountability and collaboration.

Financial Modeling & Decision Support

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen complex financial models used to support strategic initiatives, operational agility, and executive decision‑making.
  • Partner with FP&A teams, Treasury, Tax, External Reporting, Accounting, and Investor Relations to ensure model accuracy, consistency, and alignment.

Business Partnering

  • Serve as a finance partner for organizations within G&A, including forecasting, monthly financial reporting, and detailed expense analysis.
  • Translate strategic initiatives and business partner KPIs into accurate and actionable forecast and budget inputs that support Itron’s innovation‑driven objectives.

Systems, Tools, & Processes

  • Act as a subject matter expert for planning and reporting platforms, offering guidance, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Support and lead automation, system enhancements, reporting improvements, and broader financial process optimization that enable an agile finance organization.

Corporate Initiatives & Transactions

  • Contribute to high‑impact strategic and operational initiatives across the company.
  • Support financial integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience within a publicly traded company, including experience supporting global or functional organizations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to convert raw financial data into clear, meaningful management insights.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, Workiva, and Power BI (preferred).
  • Advanced working knowledge of Oracle Cloud EPM Planning or similar cube‑based planning/reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leaders and transforming strategic initiatives and KPIs into forecasts and budgets.
  • Proven expertise building and managing complex financial models that uncover trends and drive optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment with authenticity and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships at all levels.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • MBA or an advanced business degree.
  • Experience in the Utilities, Energy, or Technology sector.
  • Prior involvement in M&A financial integration or corporate transformation initiatives.

Travel

0–10% (minimal).
