Therma is seeking a Controls Service Technician to join our growing team. What You’ll Do
As a Controls Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service and support to our clients. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain control systems, helping optimize facility performance across a range of environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain control systems
- Install, configure, and commission various instrumentation and electrical devices, including PLCs
- Diagnose issues and perform corrective actions, such as replacing defective parts and modifying control panels
- Use hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repairs
- Review system requirements and coordinate components for installation and testing
- Maintain detailed documentation, including calibration sheets and loop forms
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, contractors, and customers on service progress
- Represent Therma professionally on job sites and with clients
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience with HVAC systems and controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and product manuals
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
- Proficient using mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with physical aspects of the job, including lifting (10–75 lbs.), ladder work, and working in tight spaces
- Familiarity with Distech and JCI Metasys systems is a plus
