GlacierGrid is seeking a highly motivated financial analyst with an accounting background and a Master's degree in Finance. This role involves working directly with financial statements and financial modeling, distilling insights from across the organization into strategic recommendations to help influence the direction of the company. The role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, along with the ability to manage relationships with external and internal partners to support our strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our CFO on financial modeling and forecasting.
• Utilize financial data to create reports and provide evidence based recommendations for strategic decision making.
• Provide investor relations support including monthly and quarterly updates on company progress, revenue and growth targets, and other milestones.
• Work directly with our CEO and CFO to support fundraising efforts, including tracking leads, finding and analyzing new opportunities, and supporting due diligence requests.
• Manage expenses and budgeting, approve employee expenses, and provide logistical support for financial matters related to the company's internal operations.
• Manage relationships with banking partners and other financial institutions
• Provide support on intellectual property, working directly with our external legal counsel.
• Pursue and manage debt, grants, and other non-dilutive funding opportunities.
• Pursue sustainability initiatives including CO2e modeling and reporting.
• Support go-to-market strategy and market sizing initiatives.
• Manage relationships with government entities, including tax prep and compliance, with support from an internal financial controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Finance or CPA is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
• Strong background in accounting, with the ability to generate and analyze financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll processes, expense management, and budgeting.
• Proven experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions and platforms in a startup environment.
• Experience in sustainability initiatives and CO2e modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with government regulations and tax compliance.
