About the Role

This is a hybrid role combining new business development and customer success. At first, you’ll spend roughly 50-70% of your time winning new customers and 30% managing and growing existing accounts. Over time, the focus will shift more toward business development as our client base scales and the CSM team grows.

You’ll work closely with the founders, the rest of the sales team and sales director, helping us 3x revenue this year and next. This is a role for someone who enjoys the hunt of sales but also gets real satisfaction from building long-term relationships and delivering a great customer experience.

Your Impact

Grow new business

  • Convert inbound opportunities with small businesses (<£5M) and early mid-market customers (£5M–50M), while also generating new leads through outreach and referrals.

  • In this role, you'll both deepen relationships in the personal care, supplement and beauty industries and help us identify our next high growth markets.

  • Keenly qualify opportunities for customer needs, project scope, product feasibility, customer timeline and annual contract value.

  • Pitch our products to new customers in the personal care, beauty and health supplements industry and negotiate and close commercial deals.

Manage and expand existing accounts

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of customers that you have brought in.

  • Keep clients updated on developments, spot upsell opportunities, and secure repeat orders (we plan to 3x our revenues this year and do the same next year). Our existing customers will play a big role in this goal.

  • Partner with marketing, supply chain, manufacturing and founders to increase average order values.

Shape customer success

  • Build processes for onboarding, account reviews, and customer communication.

  • Ensure we deliver consistently excellent experiences that drive retention and advocacy.

Must haves - we'd love to hear from you if:

  • 2+ years in a customer facing role (BDM, Account Manager, or CSM)

  • Confident with sales targets and negotiation, combined with empathy and curiosity for customer needs

  • Strong relationship builder who can balance commercial drive with long term trust

  • Thrives in the high-autonomy, fast moving environment of an early stage startup

What success looks like:

  • Hitting quarterly new business and expansion revenue targets

  • High retention and satisfaction across your customer portfolio

  • Scalable, repeatable customer success practices embedded in the business.
