This is a unique opportunity to work on creating the future of materials inspired by nature. When you join us you’ll get to:

Work alongside our scientific and engineering teams to develop new material formulations and blends with enhanced physical properties.

Source and work with novel biomaterials from around the world to make game-changing products.

Develop and trial material formulations in industrial polymer processes, including but not limited to compounding, injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion.

Develop DOE’s to troubleshoot failures on industrial processes and determine new routes forward to increase yield.

Use primary and literature research for data driven decision making.

Document material selection criteria aligned with the sustainability vision and strategy of the company.

Work alongside team members in molecular biology, mechanical engineering, product design and operations teams.

We’d love to hear from you if:

You have a PhD / Masters degree in polymer processing, material science or similar and 1+ years of industry experience.

You have prior experience in working with industrial polymer processing and a robust understanding of how polymers react in different processes.

You understand the challenges presented by processing new materials and want to deep dive into the fundamentals of structure-property relationships.

You enjoy pushing a project to completion and removing inefficiencies in existing processes.

You have a hands-on approach to experimentation and can quickly pick up and retain information.

Solid and efficient experimental design is a strength. You enjoy experimentation, data analysis, validation, and documentation.

You believe that the high autonomy environment of an early-stage start-up is the right place to unleash your potential.

You’d like to apply your creative thinking to continually improve our material processes. You love finding smart ways to solve hard problems, and always favor simple solutions over complex ones.
