About Pallon

At Pallon, we are building smart software to automatically report defects in sewer inspection videos and consult cities when to fix them. With more accurate and objective data, we help to prevent wastewater leaks, reduce CO2 emissions, and avoid urban flooding. Our mission is to make cities more sustainable and resilient.

Responsibilities & team structure

In this role, you’ll join the Leadership team and be responsible for growing our engineering teams while ensuring high-quality delivery. The main focus will be on the web-platform team in collaboration with our Product Managers & Designers.

We're a fast-growing company and the problems you will face are often challenging and diverse. Some of the tasks you'll be working on are:

• Grow and develop the engineering teams

• Ensure the engineering team delivers on team and company goals

• Create a positive and productive work environment

• Establish and refine development processes

• Identify and prioritise work across competing requests

• Oversee the development and execution of a technical vision

• Ensure the platform's reliability and high standards of software quality

Requirements

For a successful application, we recommend the following requirements:

• Successful track record of growing teams and managing engineering teams

• Able to coordinate across experts, teams, and management

• History as a software engineer on a complex technical product

• Understand technical products and best practices for development teams

• Experienced growth in a company that scaled to more than 50 employees

• Located in Europe and if not in Zurich willing to travel 2+ times per year to Zurich

• Experience with setting or changing organisational structure

• Experience with engineering teams working on B2B SaaS products
