About the Role:
The HR Manager, Transportation oversees all people operations supporting Nevoya’s driver workforce across all operating states. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, developing the systems, policies, and culture that help drivers perform at their best. You’ll manage regional HR staff, partner with operations leaders, and build programs that promote compliance, fairness, and engagement in a fast-growing EV trucking environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead all HR processes related to drivers, including onboarding, employee relations, and retention 
- Manage and coach onsite HR Coordinators who handle day-to-day driver support and documentation 
- Design consistent onboarding, training, and policy frameworks across all terminals 
- Manage payroll and benefits setup through Gusto and Rippling in partnership with Finance 
- Maintain accurate HR data and driver records 
- Partner closely with the Safety and Compliance team to ensure all standards are consistently met and exceeded 
- Partner with leadership to strengthen culture, communication, and retention 
- Support driver policy rollouts, handbook updates, and performance processes 
- Serve as escalation point for complex driver relations issues and investigations 
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in transportation, logistics, or field operations 
- 3+ years managing HR teams and supporting an hourly workforce 
- Proven success managing HR teams and multi-site employee populations 
- Deep understanding of employment law, employee relations, and workforce compliance 
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as Gusto and Rippling 
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills 
- High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
