Role Overview: As a founding backend engineer at Nevoya, you will build software that tackles unsolved problems in the trucking industry. You will be pivotal in developing a system capable of dispatching fleets of hundreds of electric trucks, optimizing routes around charging infrastructure and price of electricity, predicting vehicle range, and interacting with freight markets in real time. This role is for people who love to solve problems and who thrive in a dynamic team that values rapid, collaborative, and iterative deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and deploy scalable backend services
• Build backend infrastructure ranging from data pipelines to optimization models and automation
• Create scalable APIs and data models; manage extensive database systems
• Spearhead our CI/CD and testing automation strategies

Technical Skills:

• Python, Postgres, and AWS (or another similar cloud computing platform)
• ≥ 4 years of experience on an established engineering team
• Expertise in cloud services, database management, and data pipelines
• Build quickly and iteratively, starting with something simple and adding complexity
• Proficient in CI/CD, unit and integration testing
