Japan Country Manager / 日本カントリーマネージャー
Miles is a rapidly growing rewards program that enables users to earn miles for a variety of activities, primarily travel-related. Users can redeem the miles for a variety of gift cards, raffles, and donations. With its headquarters situated in Silicon Valley, Miles expanded its operation to Japan as the second country in October 2021, and since then has garnered over 3 million users. We are looking for a Country Manager to join our team in Japan and lead our expansion efforts in the region.
As the Country Manager for Japan, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and success of the program in the market. You will work closely with the US and Japan team to develop and implement strategies that will drive user acquisition and engagement, as well as manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive country strategy, including marketing, sales, partnerships, customer support, and localization efforts.
- Drive user growth and engagement by leveraging local insights, identifying new opportunities, and executing targeted campaigns.
- Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with the global management team to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Build and manage a high-performing local team to support business operations and growth in Japan.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and legal requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving growth and revenue.
- Strong understanding of the Japanese market and consumer preferences.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
