To support our continued growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team.
The Role:
 We are looking for a Senior Accountant to assist in maintaining Robot.com financial records, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and supporting internal controls and compliance. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. This role requires a solid understanding of US GAAP and public company reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage multiple tasks while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & General Accounting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations for a public company. 
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of the monthly financials, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. 
- Support the preparation and filing of public company reports, including 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings. 
- Ensure the accurate recording of transactions, including revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities, and ensure compliance with accounting policies. 
- Perform account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, fixed assets, and accruals. 
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) requirements. 
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries in a timely manner. 
- Support the documentation and testing of internal control processes to meet SOX compliance. 
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, and other reports as needed by external auditors. 
Financial Analysis & Support:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management. 
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial performance aligns with budgeted goals and provide insights on potential risks or opportunities. 
- Assist with monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc financial analyses to support management in making strategic decisions. 
Transaction Support & Special Projects:
- Support the accounting team during acquisitions, investments, or other significant business transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and integration. 
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to streamline processes and ensure efficiency. 
- Collaborate with other departments, including FP&A, Legal, and Tax, to provide accounting support for various business functions. 
Qualifications:
 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress towards CPA is a plus). 
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and general accounting. 
- Experience in working for a public company, with knowledge of SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is strongly preferred. 
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). 
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements for public companies. 
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite). 
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. 
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
- Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
