About the Role
Join our Advanced Robotics team for a hands-on internship at the forefront of robotic intelligence. You will play a vital role in our R&D cycle, working with our real-world robotic systems from hardware assembly to AI implementation. This is a unique opportunity for a tinkerer and a builder who is passionate about both the physical and software aspects of creating intelligent machines.
Responsibilities
A typical day in this role might include:
- Assemble, troubleshoot, and modify robotic hardware prototypes for cutting-edge R&D projects. 
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain our fleet of robots for data collection and experimentation. 
- Support the data lifecycle for our AI models, from collection using physical robots to processing with Python scripts. 
- Assist in testing and validating new robot behaviors, providing feedback on both software performance and hardware limitations. 
- Collaborate with our cross-functional team of engineers on system integration tasks, bridging mechanical, electrical, and software components. 
Requirements
This role might be a great fit if you have:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building, modifying, or working with physical hardware (e.g., personal robotics projects, academic teams, previous internships). 
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. 
- A genuine passion for robotics and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. 
- Must be authorized to work in the US for the duration of the internship. 
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Onshape) or 3D printing. 
- Familiarity with electronics, microcontrollers, and sensor integration. 
- Experience with ROS/ROS2. 
- Foundational knowledge of AI or machine learning concepts.
