We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead a small team at Earth Force maintaining a collection of hardware deployments across several different projects and remote job sites in the US West. Forestry projects frequently occur in remote locations, and equipping your team with the right tools to get the job done in a single visit is super important. You’ll be organized, a clear communicator, and take pride in getting all the details worked out so our customers don’t have to sweat the small stuff. Managing HW fleet purchasing, supplier, and vendor management including finalizing mechanical drawings and specification
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the integration of new technology into heavy forestry equipment, ensuring safe and efficient installations.
Support deployed hardware with in-field troubleshooting and hardware and data management activities.
Assess and adapt to the mechanical and electrical systems of heavy forestry equipment during hardware and cabling integration.
Maintain safety standards by identifying and mitigating potential hazards during installation and operation.
Communicate effectively with equipment operators, explaining the benefits of the technologies while addressing any concerns.
Provide feedback to internal teams on system performance, usability, and areas for improvement.
Execute, refine, and document our integration processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with heavy equipment in industries such as forestry, agriculture, or construction.
Mechanical and Electrical skills, including knowledge of power systems, wiring, cable management, and mounting techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration challenges in field environments.
Familiarity with safety practices and protocols when working around heavy machinery.
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with operators and internal teams.
Physical competence around forestry hardware and ability to lift heavy objects. 65lb military press.
Willingness to travel and enjoyment of rural communities. 25-50% travel expectation
