Domatic is an innovative startup transforming the construction industry with our smart building system and platform. We simplify the design, installation, and management of smart building fixtures, making advanced technology accessible to projects of all sizes.
The technology available to the construction industry is far behind where it should be. Complicated installation and configuration requiring a massive IT investment have made “smart building” technology unavailable to all but the projects with the largest budgets. Domatic makes technology accessible so all buildings can be smart.
We do this by changing the way building fixtures are powered so every fixture is implicitly connected and truly plug-and-play. Domatic does for buildings what USB did for computers, eliminating the need for IT consultants and opening up the opportunity to create smart buildings on every project.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and partnership opportunities in the construction sector.
- Partnerships and Alliances: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, developers, suppliers, and industry organizations. Negotiate and close strategic partnerships.
- Sales Leadership: Create the foundation to build the sales and business development team, setting clear goals and KPIs. Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture.
- Product Alignment: Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure solutions align with market demands and customer requirements.
- Brand Positioning: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Serve as a thought leader and advocate for our vision.
- Operational Efficiency: Establish scalable processes and systems to manage leads, track sales activities, and monitor performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (7+ years) in business development, sales, or related roles, with a strong track record of success in the construction industry.
- Deep understanding of the construction sector, including industry challenges, trends, and key players.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to inspire and manage teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with technology solutions or SaaS products in the construction domain.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data analytics tools.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
